Simply Scuba

Simply Scuba dive charters is situated in Ponta Do Ouro at the southern tip of Mozambique and just 5 kilometers from the South African border.

Simply Scuba has basic sef catering accommodation, Camping at the Dive Camp ( tent provided) & Camping on the beach with your own tent. 

ACCOMMODATION

                                             Own Camping - Tandje Beach Resort

In the middle of the camp, various camp sites are on offer with ablution blocks situated around the camp, booking is on a per person per day fee, and the campsite offers all the normal options, electricity points are available (bring a long extension cord), a beach bar is available and all the shops and markets in town offer all the basic requirements for your stay.

 The accommodation of the dive camp consists of 47 large dome tents and 22 reed casita rooms. All tents are shaded under reed structures, and all have 2 beds, fully equipped with mattresses, sheets, pillows and duvets. The reed casita rooms all have beds, full linen, mosquito nets, a fan and light switch. Meandering concrete walkways link all accommodation to the dining and kitchen area, the dive kit-up mat and the enclosed ablution facility.  

 BEACHSIDE CHALETS - Tandje Beach Resort

Over-looking the boat launch site and the bay are old and basic chalets. There are 12 2-bed chalets, equipped with beds and linen, crockery and cutlery, chairs and a table, and a cold-water basin. These are serviced by small, hot and cold-water ablutions.
There are 15 4-bed chalets, each with their own bathroom, however with only a cold water shower. Full crockery, cutlery and linen are provided. The 2 or 4 bed chalets do not have fridge facilities, so cooler boxes are recommended. Ice is available for purchase from the central bar.
Lastly, there a 2 larger beachfront chalets, sleeping up to 6 persons. These chalets have their own full kitchens and bathrooms with hot and cold water. Full crockery, cutlery and linen are provided, as is a freezer.
It is a requirement that all chalet guests take their own beach and bath towels, anti-mosquito repellents and a torch.
All chalets are cleaned and serviced daily by the resort staff. Gratuities are excluded from accommodation prices.
Please note that all chalets are very basic and old. We recommend that guests bring their own pack of cutlery, tin and bottle opener and barbeque grid to assist their holiday. Guests are required to deal with the main campsite reception staff for any problems or breakages.

 ACTIVITIES:

Snorkelling,Scuba Diving, Dolphin Tours ( in Ponta De Ouro + - 15 minutes away by car For non-divers, Ponta do Ouro offers beach, sand, sun, clean air and loads of fun.

The bay of Ponta do Ouro is very safe for snorkeling and sun tanning on the long golden beach. The bay also offers jet-ski riders hours of fun, playing in the waves and on the protected bay waters.

For 4x4 enthusiasts, the roads around Ponta do Ouro offer challenges to novice and advanced drivers. All vehicles are requested to stay on the better roads, to protect the ecology of the area. Various Pubs and resorts offer different options for meals, cocktails and sea views.

For hikers, the hill which accommodates the lighthouse, not only presents a steep and demanding walk, but also some of the most spectacular views, over land and sea. Spray with mosquito repellant before you go. For shop-aholics, there is a curio stall just outside the campsite grounds. Bargain your wallets away!
