The town of Inhambane is one of the oldest civilised towns dating back to the 1500s. it was the southernmost penetration of Arab traders dating back to the 10th century. The landscape surrounding Inhambane is dominated by thousands of Coconut Palm's - You're really in the tropics now! The town itself is set on the bay of Inhambane, looking across to Maxixe. Enjoy a drink at the harbour whilst watching the Dhows cruise across the bay.
Tofo Beach Cottages are situated on the beach front of Tofinho Bay.
Casa 1 - Quentin
Casa Quentin sleeps 6 and offers guests a 3-bedroom cottage with the basic self catering facilities, including:
Main bedroom with a double bed
- Two additional bedrooms with 2 single beds
- Mosquito nets on all the beds and linen
- A large kitchen with the basic facilities for self-catering, including a stove and freezer
- Cutlery and Crockery to accommodate 6 guests
- A shower, toilet and basin
- A pantry
Casa Quentin enjoys breath-taking views over Tofino bay. Located right on Tofino’s main beach it takes less than 80 yards to experience the hot waters of the Mozambique Channel during high tide. The cottage is ideal for a large family. The verandah offers spectacular views and frequent sightings of dolphins and whales. Casa Quentin is just far enough from the hustle-and-bustle of Tofo’s main beach, but still within walking distance, either by road (some 1,5 km.) or a 30 minute stroll along the beach.
The cottage is services with municipal 220 volt electricity and borehole water supply. However, during peak season times, the electricity supply cannot match Tofo’s demand and periodic power cuts are experienced.
The cottage is served by a house-cleaner during day-time ….. no need for mom to make the beds, sweep the floors, or wash the dishes. During night time a guard is keeping an eye out so that your privacy and security is not compromised. The house cleaner can arrange someone to wash and iron your clothes at a modest fee.

Casa 7 - Div
Casa Div enjoys Tofo’s prime spot. Located right on the main beach it takes less than 50 yards to experience the hot waters of the Mozambique Channel during high tide. The cottage is ideal for a small family. Mom and Dad can sit on the verandah and keep an eye on the children playing on the beach. For teens, the cottage is also ideally located and a stone’s throw from their places of interest, e.g. Dino’s Beach Bar.
Casa Div sleeps max 5 and offers guests a 2-bedroom cottage with the basic rustic styled self- catering facilities, including:
Main bedroom with 2 three-quarter beds
- Second bedroom with 1 bunker bed and 1 single bed
- Mosquito nets in both rooms and linen
- An enclosed veranda overlooking Tofo’s main beach
- A kitchenette with the basic facilities for self-catering, including a mini-stove and 2 freezers, one being used as a fridge
- Cutlery and Crockery to accommodate 5 guests
- A small bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin

Casa Div dates back to the pre-war colonial period (early 1960’s) during which a row of approximately 10 look-alike cottages was built by a Portuguese gentleman with the name of Mr. Poletta, right on the main beach at Tofo. Some of these cottages survived the period of war and was rehabilitated to their original state. Casa Div, being one of them is located right in the middle.
