The Bay View Development in Mozambique consists of the Bay View Lodge – a superior self-catering lodge, and Bay View Estate – a privately owned beach house. Both developments are located at Praia da Barra on the north-eastern tip of the beautiful Barra peninsula. The tranquil development is popular, as guests are able to relax and melt away stress while sitting in the lap of luxury. Bay View Lodge is a mere 25km from Inhambane town, and tarred roads guide you to this haven, with only the last 10km of dirt road signalling that paradise is within reach.

Bay View Lodge provides three accommodation options. There are four one-bedroom units, three two-bedroom units and the group house. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and aside from the group house, they enjoy the comfort of en-suite bathrooms. The fully-equipped self-catering kitchens are excellent for whipping up a meal, while the best asset of this particular accommodation is that units are within 100m of the beach and have at least a partial sea-view. The group house at Bay View Lodge is a wonderful place to stay with a group of friends or a big family, planning fun activities and catching the phenomenal ocean view from the balcony. If you can picture yourself having an amazing time with a group of people you care about the most, enjoying all the space and comfort of eight bedrooms and three bathrooms, having a braai/BBQ on the large covered patio and ending each day with a nightcap on the balcony, you may be imagining the group house.

The Green Turtle is a pub and restaurant situated on the beach, operated by a French couple who prepare a delightful daily menu specialising in succulent seafood. A favourite for the whole family, the sumptuous cuisine that abounds from the restaurant is worth sampling, and can be enjoyed throughout the day.
