Terms and Conditions and Legal Information
Please read the following booking conditions carefully, as they set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you and Mozambique Tourism. We act as booking agents for the suppliers of the component parts of the holiday we organise, and as such, bookings for their services will form a direct contract between you and the relevant supplier, and will be subject to that supplier’s standard terms and conditions.
All Rates are subject to availability and or price increase until full payment is received.
Bank charges are for clients account.
Air Tickets, Vouchers, itineraries ,etc are only issued on receipt of full payment of the package price, please note that we need a copy of clients passports before printing air tickets this must be send by email. Documents will be sent by email approximately 24-48 hours after the funds are clear in our account.
Please check the documents when you receive them and let us know immediately if there are any inaccuracies.
Should you need to cancel your trip after it’s been confirmed, you must notify us immediately in writing enclosing any tickets/vouchers already issued. Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is received in writing by us at our office.(please confirm with us to make sure that we have received your letter) As the airlines/hotels incur costs from the time we confirm your booking and may be unable to re-sell, the following charges will be payable. Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person/s cancelling excluding any amendments/ cancellation charges which have already been incurred.

Amendment cancellation charges are not refundable in the event of the person/s to whom they apply cancelling.
In some instances Mozambique Tourism chargers a higher commission than the average agent commission, this commission depends on the package booked and seasons. Mozambique Tourism reserves the right to charge a higher commission at any instance on any booking. Once you pay a deposit you agree with this, wether you book through Mozambique Tourism or one of our agents.
Mozambique Tourism does not hold responsibility for any delays prior to departure, or during the course of the trip, brought to you by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances, which are beyond our control.
Client takes the full assumption of any risk, which there may be to my person and to the members of the group in the participation / use of the facility / services provided. Mozambique Tourism ,the said Resorts or any of its Agents or Employees will not be liable for any harm or damage client may suffer as a result of their actions, or negligence.
In the event that you have any reason to complain, or experience any problems with your holiday whilst away, you must immediately inform the resort/lodge/hotel or airline of the services in question.If you are still dissatisfied, you must notify Mozambique Tourism immediately to enable us to resolve the problem. Whilst every effort will be made to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, Mozambique Tourism in no way accepts liability for any claim.
Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance, medical emergency travel and personal accident are highly recommended. The client undertakes to take responsibility to take the appropriate insurance. Mozambique Tourism will not be responsible or liable if the client fails to take adequate insurance cover or at all. Should the insurers dispute their liability for any reason, the client will have recourse against the insurers only. Once the insurance has been confirmed and paid for, the client will be issued with a policy document of the insurer. It is a complex document, which must be READ BEFORE you initiate your travel so that you can address any queries you may have to the insurer PRIOR to your departure. Please contact our office and we will send you information regarding travel insurance.
Passports, Visas and Health : It is entirely the clients duty to make sure that all passports & visas are valid obtained on time and that any vaccinations, inoculations, prophylactics (e.g. for malaria) and the like, where required, have been obtained. Please visit your Doctor or a Travel clinic in order to get advise and the recommended vaccinations and or inoculations before traveling to Mozambique.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after return to South Africa and have at least 2 empty pages . It is the clients duty to familiarise him/herself with the inherent dangers of and mental and/or physical condition required for the proposed travel arrangements. The client must ensure that the details supplied to Mozambique Tourism mirror those details shown on their passport for travel
Taxes: Mozambique Tourism will advise you of all mandatory taxes, which you must pay before departure. But please note that some taxes can only be paid in Mozambique. It is therefore recommended that you retain sufficient money to meet such charges.
Special requests: Please let us know about any special requests you may have , let us know about allergies, diet requirements , disable passengers before hand, We can pass on any special requests that you may wish to make at the time of booking, but acceptance of such requests is at the discretion of the airline and or the resorts and in no circumstances are special requests guaranteed.
Medical Problems: If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your holiday, you need to give us full details in writing at the time of booking.
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss, as a result of “force majeure”. In these Booking Conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
Customer privacy policy : Mozambique Tourism shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be de!ned as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Credit card acquiring and security: Credit card transactions will be acquired for Mozambique Tourism via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. The person requesting quotations and or making bookings or to whom any service is rendered, is deemed to have read and accepted the terms and conditions and to have the authority to do so on behalf of the person or people that are traveling.
